2025 La Tardeada Festival Volunteer Application

As a volunteer, you are critical in helping to make this event a successful one. It is important for everyone to understand and handle their assigned tasks as efficiently and effectively as possible. Below is an outline of your expectations as a volunteer. 

Application due date MAY 5, 2025.

VOLUNTEER INFO

• Volunteers check in at the information booth at the entry check-in desk, Vine and Mission corner of the park entrance.

• Volunteers will receive one free t-shirt.

• This is an outdoor venue so please dress accordingly and bring a light jacket if necessary. Jeans and shorts are ok, but appropriate attire is required. Wear comfortable shoes!

• Volunteer opportunities may include loading and unloading vendors, provide direction to vendors and visitors, help at a stage or assist with the altars, pick-up and empty trash cans, assist at the volunteer table, etc. Forms for service hours will be signed at the end of the each shift. 

OVERALL RULE OF CONDUCT FOR VOLUNTEERS

• You represent the festival; therefore, we expect each volunteer to perform his/her assignments in a professional manner.

• It is imperative for you to be punctual and ready for your duties. If you are unable to make it at your schedule time, please contact the volunteer coordinator or your area lead at least 24 hours before the start of your shift so that we can coordinate coverage.

• Please use cell phones to post on Social Media sites such as Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok @latardeadafest. #TardeadaFest, #RiversideBandaVibes, #LaTardeadaFestival.

• Put on a friendly face! We appreciate a positive and friendly attitude from all volunteers. If anyone has any problems during their volunteer shift please report it to a staff person right away and we will deal with the situation accordingly.

ANNUAL LA TARDEADA FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

I agree to fulfill my commitment as a volunteer for La Tardeada Festival and will be responsible for my assigned area(s). As a representative of La Tardeada Festival, I understand that I am expected to conduct myself professionally.

I agree to comply with all rules and regulations for La Tardeada Festival. I also agree to forever indemnify and hold harmless La Tardeada Festival against all claims, actions, and damages incurred by me during my participation as a volunteer for La Tardeada Festival.

I hereby authorize and give my full consent to La Tardeada Festival to copyright and/or publish any and all photographs, videotapes, and/or films in which I appear while attending the festival and any activities associated with promoting the festival. 

I further agree that the La Tardeada Festival may transfer, use, or cause to be used, these photographs, videotapes, or films for any exhibitions, public displays, social media posts, publications, commercials, art, and advertising purposes, and television programs without limitation or reservations.

I understand that I am in no way required to participate and that my participation is voluntary in this volunteer project. I understand that I must sign this release of liability if I would like to participate in a volunteer project. I understand that La Tardeada Festival is permitted by law to require me to sign this release of liability before allowing me to participate in this volunteer project.

I understand that I am agreeing to forever release from liability and hold harmless La Tardeada Festival l and its employees, officers, managers, agents and council members and further agree to give up my right to sue them for any and all property damage, personal injury or wrongful death resulting from their negligence, my own negligence, or the negligence of others. My signature on this document will also prevent my heirs, assigns, representatives, legal guardians, or any person who may sue on my behalf, from suing as well. By signing below, I acknowledge and declare that I understand the legal consequences of this release.
